NiKE SB — BlUE lOBSTER DUNK lOW PREMiUM [ JUNE 2OTH ]

Rumors have been swirling the past few days regarding a Nike SB Blue Lobster Dunk and today Concepts, the original collaborator, has announced that it will be releasing the Blue Lobster Dunk, the sneaker boutique’s second project with Nike SB. The Blue Lobster Dunk will drop at Concepts on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 11:00 am.

The Blue Lobster Dunk serves as the sequel to last summer’s original Lobster Dunk, a Nike SB that first made waves on May 31, 2008. The first “Lobster” was shipped and promoted by the “Concepts Fishing Company,” and came equipped with a poster, lobster claw rubber band, tee shirt and condiment box (replete with lobster shell cracker, fork, bib, wet nap and “butter” shoelaces) all embossed with the “Concepts Fishing Company” logo. The first 50 pairs sold were available in ultra-limited edition packaging, with all of the above-mentioned bundled up in an authentic Concepts wooden lobster trap.

Update: New updated images are the official colorway of the Blue Lobster Nike SB Dunk Low Premium.

This time around, it’s dangerous! The “Blue Lobster” is a dangerous sub-breed of violent crustaceans that have been wrecking havoc on the otherwise tranquil waters of New England. Priced at $250.00 usd, the actual Blue Lobster sneaker will be bagged, tagged and sealed in a HAZMAT foam container. Each pair will be joined by an official Nike SB tee shirt, hang tag and lace lock. The first 200 pairs will come with 1 of 2 Concepts x Alien Workshop skate decks.

On June 20, while in line to pick up the Blue Lobster, Concepts will also be raffling off a pair of the original Lobster from 2008. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each and the drawing will be held immediately following the release.

After the launch of the Blue Lobster, Concepts will host the Official Blue Lobster Party, featuring a number of special guests and performers including DJ Statik Selektah, Termanology and Masspike Miles. The “Brew Live Cruise” will take place on board the MV Freedom, docked at Rowes Wharf in Boston, MA. Boarding begins at 8:00 pm and the vessel leaves at 9:00 pm sharp! Admission is $30 and only offered to those that are 21+.

AiR YEEZY 3RD COlORWAY RElEASE EVENT AT NiKE SiNGAPORE

 

 

Last weekend was an exciting one for sneakerheads everywhere as Nike dropped the 3rd and final colorway of Nike and Kanye West collab of Air Yeezy sneakers. A total of 220+ fans and sneaker fanatics gathered together at the Nike Flagship Store at Wisma Atria on June 6th to ballot for one of the 42 pairs of Air Yeezy sneakers, as CHOEE from STREETHING hosted for the event, followed by a brief on the origination of Air Yeezy. In addition, exclusive Air Yeezy posters and Kanye West CDs were given out as prizes for trivia questions. Winners of the ballot were able to purchase their coveted Air Yeezy sneakers from the Nike Flagship Store or The Limited Edition Vault.

As a extra reward for those die-hard fans, the first 25 lucky attendees to line up for the event were gifted a  limited edition The Killer Gerbil x Air Yeezy collab t-shirts by Singapore graffiti artist, The Killer Gerbil.  Check out the event photos from below as Singapore hasn’t seen such a crazed turnout for sneakers at the heart of Orchard Road in Singapore for a while.

Much like the kicks seen back in March, Nike continues their vulcanized hybrids with a look into a Holiday 2009 colorway into their new Auto Force silhouette. The shoes take obvious cues from the iconic Air Force 180 with an updated vulcanized sole, making for a more casual aesthetic rather than the traditionally basketball-driven model. A release can be expected this holiday season at select Nike retailers including Leaders1354.
